Getting Started
Student Information
Basic form with Phone numbers, address, email, etc... Fill out at
the beginning of the year or when there are changes to your infromation.
Registration Fees
Fill this form out prior to summer registration. It details all
fees and costs surrounding band.
New School Policy on Fees, Fines and Fudraisers
Collections of fees and money owed for fees, fines and fundraisers
are way down this year in all organizatrions at North Garland and
many students have been allowed to accrue several years of back
fees.
The administration had a particularly difficult time getting seniors
to clear money owed to the school before graduation (you can't get
a diploma if you owe money to the school).
After review of the situation, the school administration has asked
all sponsors to help ion the following ways.
1. - No t-shirts, shoes, etc... shall be purchased
on a students behalf or given to a student "on credit".
This means that a student must have paid for the item before
the band can issue it. This also means that until the item is paid
for, a student is out of uniform and cannot perform with the band.
2. - If a student owes money past a fundraiser's
turn in deadline, they may not perform or compete with that organization.
This means exactly that. If our summer band fundraiser, cookie
dough, is not paid for by the deadline, you can't perfom with us
at pep rallies or go to games until it the issue has been resolved.
3. - The delinquent list will be kept current.
This means that after a fundraising deadline, uniform turn in
day, equipment return deadline, registration day, etc...all students
who are not current will be added to the delinquent list and will
be removed when the student has become current and up to date. Students
who are on the delinquent list will not receive a report card or
be issued transcripts until the issue is resolved. Band students
who are have a delinquency in band will not perform until it is
resolved.
GISD Field Trip Form
This is the standard form that all students from GISD fill out when
they go on a field trip. We fill one out at the beginning of the
year and it serves for all travel except the spring trip.
UIL 8 Hour Acknowledgement Form
Required from all students who participate in UIL competitive marching
band and athletics.
Private Lessons
Private Lesson Information
Helpful information for students/parents about the GISD
private lesson program.
Lessons are now $16 per lesson. As soon as new forms become available,
we will post them.

Fill this form out to sign up for lessons with a GISD approved teacher.
This form is not current
and does not reflect the increased price of lessons.

to consider you as an applicant.

Scholarships
Teresa Gholson Memorial
Scholarship
The Teresa is awarded to a graduating senior. Teresa was a french
horn player graduated in 1992. She lost her life in 1995 in a tragic
collision with a truck. The scholarship
application is centered around your band experience more than
around accomplishments. In other words, what has band done for you,
more than what have you done for the band. We are always proud to
present this award in conjunction with Teresa's parent, who still
fund a portion of the scholarship.
Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship funds a returning student to attend a band camp
in the state of Texas.
